Martina Gebhardt Naturkosmetik Demeter Certified Products
As a member of the Demeter alliance, we want to promote products that are marked with the Demeter symbol. This symbol means that 90% to 100% of the ingredients come from Demeter contract cultivation. Demeter stands for the highest possible quality and guarantees natural raw materials with the lowest possible pollutant contamination levels and the integration of biodynamic processes (including observance of moon phases) during plant cultivation, processing and preparation of the cosmetic products.
Martina Gebhardt Naturkosmetik is a member of IHTK (International Manufacturers Association against Animal Testing for Cosmetics Inc.)
The Guidelines of the German Animal Rights Association Inc. in Bonn and of the IHTK.
We submitted a legally binding declaration that:
- We do not perform any testing on animals in the development and manufacturing of our products.
- We do not process any raw materials that have been tested on animals for the first time after January 1, 1997. The decisive factor is that the substances have been marketed prior to January 1, 1979, regardless if they were tested on animals prior to this date. Synthetic substances marketed after this date were not allowed to have been tested on animals. However, neither we nor manufacturers supporting the positive list can be certain that a third party has not performed or will not perform animal testing for a synthetic substance that has been available prior to January 1, 1997. The same uncertainty applies to edible natural raw material marketed after the January 1, 1997 deadline. Provided that the manufacturers who support the positive list are not associated in any way with such a company, the manufacturers should be permitted to use the substance in question.
- We do not use any raw materials that are produced by torturing or killing animals (e.g. mink oil, carmine, musk oil).
- We are not associated with other companies that either perform or commission animal testing (e.g. pharmaceutical industry).
- We provide detailed listings of the raw materials used including supplier information. A complete summary of the ingredients of all products can be found on the packaging or in the catalogues.
